Ashtaphala Bodhi

This bodhi tree is considered to be one of the eight original branches that sprung from the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi tree when it was planted in the Anuradhapura Maha Mevna Garden. AD P. It is said that Kataragama Kshatriyas also participated in the Bodhiropana manga in the 3rd century. The Bodhi bud was the royal reward they received for attending the festival.

The temple built with this Buddha is called Kiri Viharaya. Currently, the Kataragama Kiriwehera Rajamaha Vihara is also in charge of this Bodhisattva and Kiri Vihara.
